The purpose of the Student Outreach Group is to build relationship with K-12 and higher education institutions to encourage students to pursue science, build academia-industry relationship, and to prevent brain drain in the region. The tasks of this group includes the following:

Q&A Session with UCR Distinguished Alumnus Brian Hawley Brian Hawley, CEO of Luminex and past chair of RTCF held a Q&A session for the UCR Student Alumni Association. Brian shared his history at UCR, how it prepared him for life after college, building a business...etc. More than 30 students of various disciplines attended the event.

RTCF working with UCR Career Service Center to help engineering students prepare for job interview Elite Systems Integrator, Inc. CEO Rick Risner and Ms. Robinson, director of corporate human resources from Bourns Inc. will give feedback to students on their interview skills, resumes, and attire in an interactive workshop help at UCR.

UCR MBA Student Business Plan Competition (on-going)- MBA students from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCR is now competing in the International Business Plan Competition hosted by the University of San Francisco.
